Obituary of Dorothea A. Moyer

Dorothea A. "Dot" Moyer, age 90, a resident of Boothwyn, PA, for 9 years, formerly of Brookhaven, PA, passed away Thursday, August 23rd, 2018. Dot was born in Ridley Park, PA, to the late Joseph Edward and Mary Anna (King) Quinn.

Dot was a 1943 graduate of Chester High School, Chester, PA. She was Director of Volunteers for Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA. She was also the Secretary at Cassey's Optical in Brookhaven, PA.  Dot worked for 25 years before retiring in 1985.  Dot was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Aston, PA.  She was involved in many organizations including Aston Seniors, Aston Lioness Club, Brookhaven Seniors and To Live Again.  She loved cruising to various destinations as well as visiting the Jersey Shore.

Dot was predeceased by her loving husband, Vernon Moyer, Sr.; son, Vernon Moyer, Jr; sister, Florence Bloom; and brothers, Joseph and William Quinn.

Son:  Stephen (Susan) Moyer

Daughter:  Florence Moyer

Granddaughter:  Christie (David) Crispin

Great-Grandchildren:  Austin, Amber, Rebecca, Rachel and Sarah

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Visitation:  Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 after 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment:  Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, PA 19013.
