Obituary of Jeffrey W. Dugan

Jeffrey W. Dugan of Ridley Park, age 54, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Jeff was born in Chester, the son of Margaret “Peggy” Dugan-Ostroff and the late Paul Dennis Dugan.  Jeff is the brother of the late Dennis Dugan.  He is survived by his high school sweetheart and best friend, Lisa (Stickley) Dugan with whom he shared 28 years of marriage, as well as his daughter Karly and son Shane Michael Dugan.  Jeff is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Randal and Marianne Voltin, and his nieces and nephews Christopher and Jessi Voltin, and Brett and Brittany Ainsley.  Jeff graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1981, and then from the Automotive Training Center in 1984.  He was most recently employed by Rafferty Subaru of Newton Square as the Manager of the auto body shop.  Jeff previously worked for Faulkner of West Chester and Nucar of Newark, DE.  A devoted husband and father, Jeff enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family.  He especially loved cheering on his kids in youth soccer, whether it was as a fan or as their coach.  Some of his most cherished memories included the long summer days he spent with his family on the beaches of Delaware or Emerald Isle, NC.  Being a fan of NASCAR, he found enjoyment in the times he spent at Dover Speedway with all his car-fanatic friends.  However, no sports moment Jeff experienced will ever surpass the night he watched his beloved birds seal their first Superbowl victory.  Jeff absolutely adored his Eagles, and seeing them take home the Lombardi trophy brought him an overwhelming feeling of happiness.  Jeff was extremely grateful for the care and support he received from Dr. Roush and his entire team, as well as the Heartland Hospice staff.  Jeff’s passion for life and family was inspiring, and his infectious sense of humor will be remembered by all who had the privilege of spending time with him. 

Visitation: Sunday, May 6th from 6:00-8:00PM and Monday, May 7th from 10:00-11:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063

Funeral Service: Monday, May 7th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
