Obituary of Michael Joseph Recuber, Sr.

Michael Joseph Recuber Sr. passed away in his sleep on December 26, 2017, at the age of 94. An exceptional beloved husband to Caroline Recuber, Michael and his loving wife were happily married for 75 years. Michael was also a devoted father to his two sons, Michael and George, a loving grandpop to his three grandchildren Michael, Christopher and Lucas, and a wonderful great grandfather to Emma. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and many nephews and nieces whom he loved. He was the brother of the late Leonard, William and Vera Recuber. Michael was a long time parishioner of The Church of Our Lady of Fatima, Secane, PA. He was a US Navy Veteran during World War II, Michael then worked at the Budd Company until retirement. Following, however, Michael decided to take up one more job as a driver for the Pacifico Co., working until he was an impressive 80 years old. Michael Recuber was the definition of strength, loyalty, humor, and what it takes to be a true gentleman. His family, friends and those he's crossed paths with along the years will miss him dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, January 4th after 10:00AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church: 1 Fatima Dr, Clifton Heights, PA 19018. Funeral Mass: Thursday, January 4th at 11:00AM, following the visitation. Entombment: SS Peter and Paul Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the St Jude's Children's Hospital.
