Obituary of George W. Gilbert, Jr.

George W. Gilbert, Jr. "Jingles" age 92, of Woodlyn, PA, formerly of Glenolden, PA, died Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during WWII. George was a long time employee of Scott Paper Company. George had a love for horses since he was a young boy. Most of all, he was devoted to his family, adoring his beloved wife, Olive.

George was predeceased by his son George W. Gilbert, III., sisters Betty, Louise and June and a brother John.

Survivors:

Loving Wife of 69 years: Olive L. Carey Gilbert

Daughter: Sharon (Paul) Misuriello

Sons: Richard and Brian Gilbert

Also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Memorial Service: Wednesday, January 10th at 2:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. # 352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063

Visitation: Wednesday, January 10th after 1:00PM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
