Obituary of Marie S. Tryens

Marie Smith Tryens, age 97, of Lima, PA, formerly of Oneonta, NY, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Marie was born May 20, 1920. Marie received her Masters in Education from St. Lawrence University. Mrs. Tryens was a school teacher for Junior High English in upstate NY and White Swan Washington. She was the librarian in the Middletown Township Library.

Marie was a member of Lima United Methodist Church and the Granite Farms Chorus. She enjoyed genealogy, knitting and sewing.

Wife of the late Frederick Evans Tryens; mother of the late Frederick Burton Tryens.

Daughter: Ellen T. (John) Battan

Granddaughters: Cynthia (Joseph) Sell and Carrie Battan

Grandson: Evan Tryens

Great Granddaughter: Emma Sell

Great Grandson: Mason Sell

Daughter in Law: Terri Tryens

Memorial Service: Sunday, December 17th at 3:00PM at Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Rd., Lima, PA 19037.
