Obituary of Harry E. Mawson, Jr.
Harry E. Mawson, Jr. (Poppop) age 90, from Glen Mills, PA (formerly from Springfield, PA) passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. Harry was born February 6, 1927. He grew up in Overbrook Park and Broomall, PA. He attended Overbrook High School, graduated from Brown Prep, and attended Temple University until he enlisted in the US Navy. He was an active member of the US Naval Air Corp until 1952. He retired from Bell Telephone as a Manager of Public Relations after 30 years of service. His career included many inner-city beautification and educational projects in Philadelphia, the city he loved.
Together with Marjorie, his wife of 43 years, they were devoted in raising their five children in Springfield, PA. They enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and gardening.
He was fortunate to have a second loving marriage of 23 years with Etta. They shared years of travel and time with both of their families.

Three Step Children: Robert Bartholomew, David Bartholomew and Cheryl (Brad) Caswell
19 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
