Obituary of Edward J. McKay

Edward J. "Ed" McKay, age 63, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Brookhaven and Chester, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Ed was a graduate of Collingdale High School. Ed was a Firefighter for the City of Chester, PA for more than 20 years, retiring in 2003. He was a US Air Force Veteran.

Ed was a member of the American Legion Post # 28, where he enjoyed shooting darts. He was also a member of the Amvets Post #2, Millsboro DE. Ed enjoyed golfing, riding around on his golf cart and he was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

Son of the late Francis J. and Helen Rose (Petrilli) McKay.

Loving Wife: Doris (Gluck) McKay

Sisters: Theresa Dempsey, Francine McKay, Kathy Albrand and Mary Ann Moyer

Brothers: Daniel McKay and David McKay

24 Nieces and Nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, December 13th from 9:30AM-11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, December 13th at 11:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
