Obituary of Eloyse P. Kereszi
With heavy hearts, the family of Eloyse P. (Damicis) Kereszi announces her passing at home in Middletown twp., PA on May 10th, 2017, after a long battle with emphysema. She was 82 years old.
Born in 1934 in Hazelton to Anna Perna and Alphonse Damicis, she attended Ridley High School, married Joseph C. Kereszi, Sr. in 1952 and raised four children. She was a strong woman, an artist and porcelain doll-maker who later in life owned the family business, Joe’s Junk Yard in Trainer. Her entirely handmade Father Christmas dolls were sold all over the area.
She is survived by her children, Joseph C. Kereszi, Jr. and Pamela Nolan Kereszi, her devoted grandchildren Lisa, Victoria, Rocco Jameson, Sean, Stephanie, Mark, Thomas Rocco, Pamela, Deborah, Jessica, Chelsea, adoring great-grandchildren Hazel, Mark, Eugene, Davis, Ottilie, Jackson and Laurel, her brother Alphonse Damicis and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband and her sons Kenneth Rocco and Mark Anthony, and sibling Sally A. Davison.
A memorial service to celebrate her life: Saturday June 3rd at 1:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire Bleyler Funeral Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media PA 19063, where friends may call after 12:30PM
Interment: Eastlawn Cemetery, Swarthmore, PA
Her life was, as she once put it, “a steady grind.”
