Obituary of Philomena Lamparella

Philomena C. Lamparella, age 88, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully Thursday, May 18, 2017. Mrs. Lamparella was born to the late Olimpia and Giuseppe Romanelli on August 18, 1928 in Darby, PA. Philomena was preceded in death by her husband John J. Lamparella Sr. in 1980.

Mrs. Lamparella was a secretary for the William Penn School District for more than 30 years, until her retirement. She was a parishioner of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, in Glen Mills, PA. In her spare time she loved to read, garden, and enjoyed going to the shore with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Philomena is survived by her children, John Jr. (Jill) Lamparella of Langhorne, PA, Lisa (Vito) Gizzio of Spring, TX, and Laura (David) Nolan of Edgmont, PA. Philomena is also survived by her adored grandchildren Vito, Michael (Alyssa), and Vincent Gizzio, Justin (Nicole) Lamparella, Ian and Riley Rose Nolan, and great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Lamparella

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd. Glen Mills, PA 19342.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 23rd from 9:15 to 10:15AM at the church.

Interment: Private at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
