Obituary of Thomas W. Pearsall

Thomas W. Pearsall, age 75, of Lansdowne, PA, died peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Tom graduated from Albright College in 1963, with a degree in Economics. An accomplished college athlete, Tom played basketball for Albright, and still holds the scoring record with 2,164 points in his four year career. He was selected to the Albright Hall of Fame, MAC (Mid-Atlantic Conference) Hall of Fame, and both Albright College and MAC All-Century teams. Tom worked as a Risk Officer in the equipment leasing industry for CIT Corporation. In 1966 he was drafted into the Army and served his time with the Special Weapons Unit in Etlingen, Germany. He retired from CIT, and later worked for Orix Credit Alliance. Tom was an active member of Trinity Lansdowne United Methodist Church (The Garden Church), where he served on the Finance Committee and as a Trustee, among other roles. Tom enjoyed travel, sports, furniture restoration, and spending time with loved ones at the family cottage in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Son of the late Newman and Jayne (Brewer) Pearsall; Son-in-law to the late Marjorie I. Rigby. Survivors: Wife of 53 years: Judith Rigby Pearsall Daughters: Beth (Christopher) Gibble, Amy (Paul) Hessler, and Jill (James) Strub. He also leaves eight grandchildren: Jayne, Meghan, Thomas, Kiera, Lindsey, Emma, Derrick and Claire. Brothers: Edward (Margaret) Pearsall and Stephen (Kathleen) Pearsall Brother-in-law: George S.
