Obituary of Gardiner L. Woolley

Gardiner "Gar" L. Woolley, age 92, of Wallingford PA, died on Monday, March 27, 2017 at home. Born in Raleigh, NC, Mr. Woolley had been a lifelong resident of Wallingford, PA. Mr. Woolley was a graduate of the former Nether Providence High School. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served in the United States Navy in the submarine service. Gar had worked for the Sun Company for 36 years as a laboratory technician, until his retirement. Mr. Woolley attended the Garden City Chapel and was a member of the Submarine Veterans Association and the Sun Honor Club. Survivors: Wife: Violet Twaddell Woolley; two sons: Robert (Denise) and Mark Woolley two daughters: Gayle (Jim) Massingham and Deeann(Joseph) Colligan, also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 30th at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, Interment Chester Rural Cemetery.
