Obituary of Gail Lynn Jaworsky

Gail Lynn Jaworsky, age 70, of Parkside, PA, died on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Kindred Hospital, Havertown PA. Lynn was a graduate of Sun Valley High School and received a B.S. from West Chester University. Lynn taught both Spanish and English at Academy Park High School in Southeast Delco for 31 years. She enjoyed accompanying students on trips to England and Spain. After retirement, she continued to take an interest in her students' lives and always took delight in hearing about their accomplishments. An avid reader, Lynn loved her home in Parkside, where she was raised next door to her first cousin, the late Phyllis Zitarelli Hewitt. She also enjoyed traveling and visited Europe, Panama Canal, Central America, Scandinavia, Asia, Australia, Egypt, Israel, Iceland, Alaska, Hawaii and other areas of the United States. Joined by both old and new friends, her travel companions appreciated her good nature and sense of adventure. Friends were very important to Lynn and she was lucky to have a wide circle of good people in her life. She was also devoted to her family and cherished spending time with them. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Jaworsky and Esther Simpers Jaworsky. Visitation: Monday, February 13th after 10:00 AM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lynn's memory to: The American Cancer Society or Silver Knights at Academy Park High School.
