Obituary of Vera "Betty" L. George

Vera L. "Betty" (Densock) George, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. Betty played bass in a local band and developed photography for Allegany Ballistics, during World War II. Betty loved the Lord and was a lifetime Methodist. She faithfully attended Cresaptown Methodist Church, Clifton United Methodist Church and most recently Prospect United Methodist Church. She was a member of the VFW. Betty was an avid square dancer and jitterbug dancer. Betty was a creative sewer, adored pets and feeding birds. She enjoyed gardening and attending to her many rose bushes. She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Cora (Thomas) Densock; her husband of 61 years, Robert P. George (2012), her siblings, Elwood, Rob, Jack, Corinne and her grandson Erick George. Survivors: Son: Larry George Daughters: Betty Paul George, Annette Brown, Janette (Roy) Penman and Robin (Steve Lochner) George Grandchildren: Jessica, Chris, Rick (Kim), Zachary, Robert, Alex (Kelly), Matthew, Billie Jo, Harley and Corinna Great-Grandchildren: Miles, Skyla, Thomas, Joseph, Eric, Keon, Jveion and Manuel Funeral Service: Saturday, January 7th at 11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Visitation: Saturday, January 7th after 10:00AM at the funeral home. Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
