Obituary of Nancy B. Shultz

Nancy (Bonsall) Shultz, 89, a longtime resident of Upper Providence, passed away on October 1st at Granite Farms Estates. She was the widow of Robert R. Shultz, who passed away in 2006. Mrs. Shultz was a lineal descendent of Richard Bonsall who arrived from Derbyshire, England and settled in Darby, PA in 1683. She was a 1945 graduate of Yeadon High School, and a member of the Yeadon Presbyterian Church, prior to joining the First United Methodist Church of Media in 1959. She was a long-time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and has devoted her life to genealogy research of the Bonsall, Leaming and Schramm families. Mrs. Shultz was a member of The Perry Historians, Upper Darby Historical Society, Society of Friends – Darby, Darby Creek Valley Association and Friends of the Swedish Cabin. Nancy is now the guest of honor at a big family reunion in heaven – meeting all the descendants she has researched over the years. State Street, Media, PA. Visitation: Wednesday, October 5th from 5:00-7:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063 and Thursday, October 6th after 10:00AM at the church.
