Obituary of Hope O. Quinn

Hope O. Quinn (Weaver) Hope Quinn, of Middletown Twp., PA, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2016. Hope was the beloved wife of Joseph T. Quinn, Sr. and was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She and Joseph (Terry) moved to Broomall in 1967, and ultimately to Middletown (Media) in 1979 where they raised their four sons. Hope was a proud member of the Lima United Methodist Church and served on the Outreach Committee for many years, working tirelessly in the community providing for those in need. Christmas was always her favorite time of year, as her generosity shone while participating in the church angel tree project, and shopping for just the right gift for each member of her family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family after she retired from Boeing in 2000, after 20 years of service. She is the daughter of the late Donald and Iola Weaver of Rising Sun, Maryland. She is also predeceased by her sister Lula Mae. Hope is survived by her husband Joseph T. Quinn Sr. as well as four sons Joseph T. Quinn Jr. (Lynne) of Glen Mills, Barry G. Quinn (Cindy) of Felton, Delaware, Allen R. Quinn (Marianne) of Glen Mills, and Christopher B. Quinn (Carle) of Middletown. She will also be greatly missed by her seven granddaughters, two grandsons and four great-grandchildren. Hope is also survived by her brother Donald Weaver, Jr. (Melanie) of Titusville, Florida. Funeral Service: Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:00AM at Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063 Visitation: Sunday from 6:00-8:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, and Monday from 9:00-10:00AM at Lima United Methodist Church. Interment: Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Lima United Methodist Church, 209 N. Middletown Road, Media, PA 19063.
