Obituary of Gail M. Birney

Gail M. Birney, of Wallingford, PA, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.  Gail was a graduate of Nether Providence High School, Class of 1964. She then graduated from Radiology School at Thomas Jefferson University.

Gail was an ultrasonographer at the University of Arizona, Thomas Jefferson Hospital and then retired from Crozer Chester Medical Center in 2009.

Ms. Birney enjoyed reading, cooking and traveling.  Most of all she enjoyed going out to dinner with her friends and family.

Daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie Shaw Birney; sister of the late Howard T. Birney; Aunt of the late Howard R. Birney; Sister-in-Law of the late Joseph P. Schum and Joyce E. Birney.

Brother: David (Susan) Birney

Nieces: Nancy (Jim) McCarnan; Suzanne Walls, Lynn (George) Carattini, Jamia (Jeff) Bigalow

Also survived by great nieces and nephews

Visitation: Wednesday, February 28^th after 10:30AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 28^th at 11:30AM.

Interment: Chester Rural Cemetery.
