Obituary of Jean A. Murphy

Jean A. (Nee Williams) Murphy, ”Nean” age 96, of Media, PA, formerly of Chester, PA, died at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Jean was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1945.  She was employed with Scott Paper Company until retiring.

Nean was devoted to taking care of her family. She enjoyed her trips to Hawaii.

Daughter of the late Richard and Jean Cullis Williams; Wife of the late James Murphy; Sister-in-Law to the late Jack Martin and Dale Smith.

Survivors:

Sisters: Joan Martin and Nancy Smith

Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins

Visitation: Saturday, February 24^th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds. Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 24^th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
