Obituary of Francis C. Doyle

Francis C. “Fran” Doyle, Jr., age 77,  of Ocean View, Delaware and formerly of Middletown Twp., Media, PA died on Monday, November 20, 2023 at home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Fran lived in Folsom, PA, before moving to Middletown Twp., where he lived for twenty years, and later moving to his home in Delaware in 1998.

Fran was a graduate of Ridley High School, Class of 1965. He was a veteran of the US Navy. After his service, he was employed by the Philadelphia Navy Yard as a firefighter and inspector where he was employed for twenty years, until his retirement. He later drove for the Rose Tree Media School District.

Fran was a life member of the Middletown Fire Company and was also a life member of the Folsom Fire Company.

He was a proud member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, where he served as Flotilla Commander in 1997.

Fran enjoyed boating, fishing, and crabbing.

Survivors:

Father of Brian Doyle and Tracy Doyle and grandfather of Owen and Janisa and brother of Caroline Lindauer.

Funeral Services were on Thursday, November 30th, at 12:00 Noon at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) and Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., where friends and fellow firefighters were invited to call from 10:30AM- 11:45AM.

Interment: Tuesday, January 16th at 11:00AM at the Delaware Veteran Cemetery, Bear, DE.
