Obituary of Michael J. Gallo

Michael "Mike" J. Gallo, age 60, went home to be with the Lord, on January 12, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Mike resided in Media, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, born in S. Philadelphia and raised in Drexel Hill, PA. Michael was a 1972 graduate of Upper Darby High School, and a 1979 graduate of West Chester University, earning a degree in Business. Mike's career spanned many years at Bryer's Ice Cream, and most recently Nationwide Insurance Company. Mike was very dedicated to all his family and friends. He was an inspiration, and will be eternally missed and remembered by all who knew him. Mike enjoyed sports, the shore, working out, music, cars and most of all, he cherished time with his family and friends. He coached his children's sport teams, and participated in prayer groups over the years. He was a man of faith and principle and set a positive example for many. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister, prior to becoming ill. Mike is survived by: his Son, Andrew Gallo; his Daughter, Alexa Gallo; and wife of 16 years, Linda Gallo. He was the Son of Vincent J. Gallo and the late Rita (Ferullo) Gallo. Michael is also survived by and will be sorely missed by: Brothers, Jimmy (Sherry), Richard (Adrienne), David (Ramona) and Sister, Nancy Belfie (John), also his beloved nephews: Tommy, Nick, Richie, Johnny, Nick, Chris, Vinny, DJ and Matthew; and 1 Great Nephew, Mason.
