Obituary of Gail D. Krisac

Gail D. Krisac, of Wallingford, PA, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at home. Gail was born in Philadelphia, and graduated with honors from John Bartram High School in the class of June, 1951. She lived in Wallingford for almost five decades, and was devoted to her husband of sixty years. She has two daughters, Deborah Dudley living in Austin TX., and Sharon Moser, residing in Downingtown, PA. She was predeceased by two sons, David and Stephen. She also has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a BA in sociology, and later earned a MA in library science from Villanova University. She worked in the science department at Bartram and then was the librarian at Morton Elementary School, until she retired. She was an avid skier both in America and throughout Europe, conquering many of the most challenging slopes in Switzerland, including St. Moritz and Davos-Klosters. She also worked beside her husband as a volunteer in the National Ski Patrol System for over twenty years. Gail was a gifted musician, playing the accordion, piano and organ for youth groups and church services. She was a founding member of CAPE, the Child Abuse Prevention Effort, founded by Judge Lisa Richette and headquartered at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. She was filled with overwhelming love for her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed vacationing in summer with them at her seashore home in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, as well as skiing throughout the northeast with them in winter. Visitation: Thursday from 6:30-8:30PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA. Memorial Service: Friday at 10:30AM at the Manoa United Presbyterian Church, 153 North Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083.
