Obituary of Kenneth E. Taylor
Kenneth "Ken" E. Taylor, 91, of Glen Mills and formerly of Lauderdale By The Sea, FL, died Saturday, December 11th at Glen Mills Senior Living. Kenneth was born in Havre DeGrace, MD., to the late late John Gilpin and Nellie R. (Watson) Taylor, he had resided in Lauderdale By The Sea for 40 years, before moving to Glen Mills 3 years ago.
Graduate Prospect High School Class of 1941 and drafted into the Army after High School before World War II. He was the 1st draftee from Norwood, and served in Italy with the 36th Infintry, Texas Division, 143rd Recon Unit, during World War II. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European Africian Middle Eastern Service Medal With 5 Bronze Stars and the Bronze Service Arrowhead. Ken was employed by Bendix Corp., Baltimore, MD,for 13 years, retiring as a Radiio Technician.
Husband of the late Norma E. Snyder Taylor who died in 1984; Brother of the late Helen Taylor Alford and Merle R. Taylor.
