Obituary of Ernestine E. Monaghan

Ernestine (Hartman) Worthington Monaghan “Ernie”, age 96, of Aston, PA died on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Ernie was a lifelong woman of faith and a dedicated member of Green Ridge Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where she touched many lives through her kindness and devotion.  Ernie was a school bus driver for Penn Delco School District.

She found great joy in bowling at Conchester Lanes. Ernie loved escaping to her Pocono home, where she treasured peaceful vacations surrounded by family and friends. Reading was one of her favorite pastimes.  Ernie will be dearly missed.

Daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn Crawford Hartman. Wife of the late Thomas Monaghan. Mother of the late Ernie Worthington and Linne Diane; Sister of the late Anna Mae Gandy; Grandmother of the late Frances Faye Barry.

Survivors:

Son: Donald R. Worthington, Jr.

Grandsons: Donald R. Worthington III and Dylan F. Bascelli

Great Grandchildren: Skye Barry and Breeze Barry

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 19^th at 11:00AM at Green Ridge Baptist Church, 1700 Dutton Mill Rd. Aston, PA 19014.
