Obituary of Barbara Ann Berkau

Barbara Ann Berkau “Barb” age, 82, of Aston, PA, formerly of Concord Township PA, peacefully passed away on Thursday January 29, 2026 at Riddle Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

 Barb was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 3, 1944, daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary F. (McKinney) Weinlein.

 Barb was a homemaker in her children’s early childhood years, then worked part-time as a telephone research interviewer before working for The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office in Media, PA as a licensed NCIC operator, retiring after 20 plus years of service.   

Barb was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping and her casino trips with her late husband Art. Barb cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends, old and new. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Arthur F. Berkau Jr.,and parents Andrew J. and Mary F. (McKinney) Weinlein.

Survivors:  

Daughter: Christine (Gregory) Saunders

Son: Arthur Scott (Patricia) Berkau

Grandchildren: Kristy (Scott), Jenna (Dylan), and Casey

Great-Grandchildren: Alivionna, Preston, Connor and Chase

Sister-In-Laws: Anita (Lyle) Stoner and Lucille (Randy) Wisnouse

Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Visitation: Saturday, February 7^th from 11:30am-1:15PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Family Sharing: Saturday, February 7^th at 1:30PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
