Obituary of Linda J. Scarpitti
Beloved Mother, Sister, and Friend, Linda Jean (Woolley) Scarpitti, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, after an ongoing battle with cancer. Born in Delaware County, PA, to Joseph and Patricia (Williams) Woolley, she was the youngest of seven children.
Linda was devoted to her faith and was a proud and active member of the church throughout her life, attending mission trips, bible studies, and volunteering for as many church functions as she could. Her inclination to help transferred to her career, where she worked as a dental assistant for over 40 years, dedicating her life to helping people smile.
Linda was a lover of the arts, often attending local theater productions, singing in the church choir, reading, crocheting, and writing poetry. Her home was always filled with an array of music, often leading to dance parties with her daughters (and their friends). Her love for her community was felt by all who knew her. Linda was always there, no questions asked, for anyone who needed guidance, support, or even a simple hug. Though not (always) a good cook, she loved to connect through good food and made sure no one left her house on an empty stomach.
Linda is survived by her siblings, Jeanette (Woolley) Maisano, Raymond Woolley, Donna (Woolley) Serra, and Barbara (Woolley) Coppock, as well as her two daughters, Michelle (Forte) McLaughlin and LillyAnna (Lilly) Oster, Son-In-Law, Brian McLaughlin, Daughter-In-Law, Ashley Merritt, and two beautiful grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at The Resurrection Episcopal Church, Rockdale (2131 Mount Rd. Aston Township, PA 19014). The service will begin at 11:00 am. The family invites and encourages all who knew and loved Linda to attend.
