Obituary of Barbara Ann Goodale

Barbara “Mickey” Goodale (nee McHenry) , 92, passed on peacefully in the presence of family on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Mickey was born in Berwick, Pa. then later moved to Chester, PA, where she met her husband of 57 years, Malcolm “Mac” Goodale.

They lived in Aston, PA, and then retired to Lewes DE for 20 years before returning to Aston. 

  Mickey participated in sports in her early years, which later turned into being a passionate Eagles and Phillies fan.  She loved sailing, boating, visiting and collecting lighthouses, polka, playing games with family, she was the ultimate apple pie baker and ice cream maker. 

  She loved to travel. Mac and her traveled throughout the USA to reunions with his fellow Army veterans of the World War II 82nd  Engineer Combat Battalion. 

  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She adored her granddaughters and her great grandchildren. Their hugs and laughter filled her heart. 

  Mickey had a strong unwavering faith.  We find comfort knowing she is home now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

granddaughters; Erin (Erick), Sarah (Zac), Shannon (Nick), Dana (Sam) 

great grandchildren; Lucia, Giavanna, Natalia and Zachary

Visitation: Thursday, June 26th after 12:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown, (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 26th at 1:00PM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
