Obituary of Georgiana M. Radell

Georgiana M. (Kyriakos) Radell “Georgie,” age 93, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Ridley Park, PA, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Georgiana was affectionately known as “Ya-Ya” by other acquaintances as well as the grandchildren. The great-grandchildren called her “YaYa Jula”

Georgie attended Chester High School. After high school, she went on to work at Scott Paper for 27 years, as a Consumer Relation Specialist, until her retirement.

Georgie was a long-time member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. She had a great love for music, although Elvis was her favorite. Georgie and her husband, John loved to travel together.

Georgie enjoyed dancing and going to the casinos. Crossword puzzles and reading novels were great pass times. She loved her dog, Kiwi, who was her companion and brought joy to her life.

She cherished nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Peter and Anna Moularakis Kyriakos; Wife of the late John Radell; Grandmother of the late Dennis Kapurelos, Jr.; Predeceased by her Nine brothers and sisters.

Daughter: Eve (George) Dougherty

Son: Dennis (Deborah) Kapurelos Sr.

Grandchildren: John (Jeanne), Joshua (Julia), Jennifer (James), Kim (Mike), Kari (Steve), Steven, Alicia

Great-Grandchildren: Joshua, Jett, Alycia, Justice, Alysa (Dan), Paige, Chloe

Great Great-Granddaughter: Isabella

Also survived by her nieces and nephews

Visitation: Thursday, June 12th after 10:00AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd. Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 12th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment: Chester Rural Cemetery.
