Obituary of Catherine A. Smagala

Catherine A. (Clarkson) Smagala, age 75, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

Cathy was a graduate of Brandywine High School, Class of 1967, and then received her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Delaware. In 1983, Cathy graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.  Cathy helped people improve their health through nutrition as a dietician. She continued helping families as a Pharmacist.

Cathy enjoyed gardening, boating, water and snow skiing. She had a love for dogs. 

Daughter of the late John C. and Helen A. (Dougher) Clarkson; Wife of the late Joseph R. Smagala.

Survivors:

Twin Daughters: Jenni A. Smagala and Amy J. Smagala

Sisters: Linda (Joe) McDonald, Donna (the late Rich) Stamer

Also survived by nieces and nephews

Visitation: Wednesday, May 14th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA, 19063.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 14th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery.
