Obituary of Maria Trasatti

Maria “Tina” Trasatti, age 91, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Parkside, PA, died peacfully on Saturday, March 15, 2025.  Tina was born in Arsita, Italy.  In Italy, Tina was a school teacher and a doctor’s assistant.  While in America, she was employed for many years in the mail room at the Franklin Mint.

Tina was a devoted parishioner of the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, where she was active with the spaghetti dinners and the annual carnival.  More recently, Tina was a parishioner at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, where she would participate in crafting to help with the social committee. Tina loved to cook, making homemade spaghetti and meatballs. She took pleasure in teaching others her art of preparing food.   Tina was passionate about her garden and found peace spending time cultivating her beautiful plants.  She also found a lot of fun and laughter playing Uno with her friends and family. Most of all, she was devoted to taking care of her family and her home. Tina will be missed more than words can express.

Daughter of the late Ernesto and Giuseppina (Dimarcoberardino) Magnanti; Wife of the late Frank Trasatti;  Mother of the late Philomena Trasatti; and predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters.

Sons: Frank (The late Karen Rowan) Trasatti and Ernest (Suzanne Laumakis) Trasatti

Granddaughter: Gina

Great-Grandchildren: Adrianna and Thalia

She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews

Visitation: Saturday, April 5th from 9:30-10:45am at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Funeral Mass: Saturday, April 5th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
