Obituary of John V. Minka

John Vincent Minka, 84 of Glen Mills, PA  a loving father and cherished Pop, joined his beloved wife, Kathleen (Kitty) Minka, on March 4, 2025.

John was a devoted family man, known for his warm heart and unwavering love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his passion for gardening, riding his tractor and tending to his many projects and enjoying the view from his back porch, along with countless memories he created at his home.

John graduated from Chester High, served in the Army National Guard, and worked as a machinist and stationary engineer. He retired from the Delaware County Court House, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work. John raised his family in Aston, PA, before relocating to Glen Mills, PA.

John’s youthful spirit and passion for life will continue to guide and inspire his family. He is survived by his children, Stephanie (husband David McNeil) and John Leonard; his grandchildren, David Jr. (wife Laura), Brianna (husband Ryan), Jimmy (wife Emma), and Sarah and his great-grandchildren, Raygan and Angela.

May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Kitty, parents Stephan and Helen (Osinski) Minka and with his departed brothers and sisters.

Visitation: Friday, March 14th after 10:00AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342.

Funeral Mass: Friday, March 14th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment: St. Thomas the Apostle Churchyard.
