Al was born August 25, 1936 in Pocomoke City, MD. He received his education at Glen-Nor High School in Norwood and went on to have a successful career as a CAD Designer for Westinghouse Corp and as a contractor for various companies.

Beyond his professional life, Al was actively involved in numerous organizations and hobbies that brought him immense joy. He was a member of the William Rush Woodcarvers Club, showcasing his talent and creativity in carving wooden masterpieces. AI enjoyed the sport of bowling and had been an avid bowler for more than 60 years.

He also served as an Aston AA Girls Softball Coach. Al’s commitment to youth development extended into his involvement in creating Mt. Hope Cub Scout Pack 77.

As a proud family man, Al prioritized his loved ones above all else. He was the biggest fan of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s activities and sporting events, supporting, and cheering for them at every opportunity. Al and his wife Carolyn created a lifetime of cherished memories for their family at their cottage in Chesapeake City, Maryland. Al loved teaching his children and grandchildren the joys of crabbing, boating, tubing, and water skiing.

Aside from his involvement in sports and hobbies, Al was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles. He remained dedicated to his beloved teams throughout his life, always cheering them on.

Al leaves behind his devoted wife of 66 years, Carolyn Bailey, as well as his children Deborah (Denis) Lee, Michael (Darlene) Bailey, David (Eileen) Bailey, Cynthia (Michael) Sereikis, and Dana (Robert) O’Brien.
