Obituary of Eleanor W. Galbraith

Eleanor W. (Waring) Galbraith, age 89, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA, died Monday, July 18, 2022.  Eleanor was born in Philadelphia, PA, and had been a resident of Middletown Twp. since 1996.  She was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1950.

Eleanor was employed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 15 years, retiring in 1995.

Eleanor participated in the New Life, Ridley Seniors and the Red Hats Society. She was proud of her Irish heritage and held dual citizenship in Ireland.  She enjoyed spending time in her home in North Wildwood. Eleanor was an active parishioner at the Church of St. Joseph, Aston, PA.

Daughter of the late James and Sarah (Gray) Waring; Wife of the late James W. Galbraith; Mother of the late James Galbraith and Marge (the late Bob) Przekop, Sister of the late James, Thomas (the late Anne), Joseph, William Waring and Sally (the late Scotty) Scott; Grandmother of the late Richard Patrick Taylor and James W. Galbraith III.

Survivors:

Brother: John (Cindy) Waring

Sisters: Marie Mengel and Betty Blessing

Also survived by 6 loving Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Monday, July 25th from 9:00-9:45AM at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014.

Funeral Mass: Monday, July 25^th at 10:00AM at The Church of St. Joseph.

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
