Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos of Joan and her life. I've known Joan my whole life since our parents were best friends. I always thought of her as my cousin. I don't live close by but did get the chance to have dinner with her 2015 when visiting PA. My thoughts and prayers go out to her siblings and children. We were friends on FB until my account got deleted by a 3rd party the day she died. I was very saddened to see the post of Sun Valley's page when I was looking for her to send another friend request. Again my heart goes out to all who loved Joan. May she rest in peace with her beloved husband.
When I met her she was already pretty weakened because of the illness but it was obvious how strong, bright and cheerful person she was. We were joking and laughing and singing and nothing could stop her enjoy the life. The same time she was so caring and compassionate. No wonder she raised such good children who took an amazing care of her.
Will miss you a lot.
Your Z.
I was lucky enough to meet Joan years ago when she brought her family to Disney and stayed at the hotel I worked at. Over the years and her many visit, we became friends, and I love her dearly. She was a ray of light, had a great sense of humor, and deeply loved all her family and friends, as well as her true love Tigger. I always loved visiting with her, she had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh with her stories. She also crafted a few items she gave me that I treasure, including a cookbook she made of recipes she found on Facebook. I will miss her always. ❤️
She was another mother to me. Always smiled, except when she had to yell at the kids, LOL. She fed me, laughed with and at me. She was beautiful. My love to you all.
