Obituary of Robert J. Jasinski

 

 

Robert J. Jasinski,  “Bob, Jazz, Ski, Gladys” age 60, of Parkside, PA, died Monday, January 24, 2022 at Mercy-Fitzgerald Hospital, Darby, PA.   Robert was born December 28, 1961 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Chester, PA.

 

Bob was employed with the TSA as a Security Officer for more than 20 years, The Archdiocese of Philadelphia at St. Pius X, United Flight Kitchen and All Corners Cleaning.  

 He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Sgt. 8 years active duty. He served during the Iran-Iraq period.  Bob’s medals included the Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal 2nd Award, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

 

Bob was a registered Republican.  He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Delaware County, American Legion and a life-time active member of Our Lady of Charity Parish.

He was an avid reader, historian, genealogist, Phillies fan, Washington Redskins and Green Bay Packers fan.

Robert enjoyed playing Scrabble with his family. Robert was a great travel companion and loved to share his knowledge of historical sites, in particular, Washington DC. Robert enjoyed the Wildwood beach with his extended family.  He always looked out for the little guy, the disabled and the vulnerable.

 

Son of the late Stanley A. and Marguerite P. (McGlinn) Jasinski. 

Survivors:

Loving Sisters: Laura (Paul) Donati of Downingtown, PA, Margaret (Scott) Clifford of Springfield, PA.

Beloved Brothers: Stanley (Marybeth) Jasinski of Clarksboro, NJ, Paul Jasinski of Chadds Ford, PA.

Nephews: Matthew, Stephen, Gabriel, Andrew, Daniel and Thomas

Nieces: Nicole, Maggie and Ava

 

Visitation:  Friday, February 4th from 6:30-8:30PM and Saturday, February 5th from 8:45-9:45AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

 

Funeral Mass: Saturday, February 5th at 10:30AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

 

Interment: Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
