Obituary of Robert C. Burke

Robert C. Burke, "Bob" age 77, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Bob was born November 14, 1940 in Collingdale, PA and graduated from Collingdale High School, Class of 1958. He graduated RETS Electronic School and worked for IBM for more than 30 years as a Customer Engineer. Bob was in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania. Mr. Burke had many hobbies and belonged to many clubs; American Historic Juke Box Society in which he restored many of his own juke boxes, Keystone Record Collectors Club, The Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania, Delco Cruisers Car Club, Mustang Club of Delaware Valley and Laurel and Hardy Club. Bob put his love of music to work by deejaying many car shows including Hagley Museum Car Show and also the fireworks display at Hagley. Bob loved his Bernese Mountain dogs and associated with many friends who shared his passion. Survivors: Wife of 51 years: Jeanette Yungwirth Burke Daughter: Jennifer (Paul) Burke Ballard 5 Grandchildren: Jeanette, Paul, Annaliese, Chloe and John Ballard Visitation begins at 10:00AM and Memorial Service at 11:00AM on: Saturday, February 24th at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd. Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Media, PA. After the interment there will be an open house to celebrate Bob's life at his home.
