Obituary of Richard Peter Scharrer

Richard Peter "Richie" Scharrer, age 37, of Brookhaven, PA, died suddenly on Sunday, April 23, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was a graduate of Sayville High School, New York. Richie graduated from West Chester University, where he was a member of the baseball team. Richie was actively involved with RJ and Mason's sports. He was a coach with the Aston AA Bandits Football and Aston-Middletown Little League. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Richie enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, NJ and Longport, NJ. Most of all, Richie was a devoted husband, son, father, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. Visitation: Thursday, April 27th from 5:30-9:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Interment: Private.
