Obituary of Richard M. Turner

Richard M. "Bud" Turner, age 94, of Media, PA, formerly of Wallingford, PA, died Friday, October 14, 2016. Richard was born in Norwood, PA. He was a 1948 graduate of Swarthmore College, with a BA in Mechanical Engineering. Bud retired in 1983, from E.I. Du Pont Company. Richard was a Technical Sergeant in the US Army/Air Corp, serving during WWII. Bud was a coach with Nether Providence Athletic Association as well as a scout master and troop committee chair with the Boys Scouts of America. Richard was a member and a former trustee with Wallingford Presbyterian Church. Husband of the late Elizabeth D. "Betty" Turner, who died in 2005; Brother of the late Robert Turner. Survivors: Sons: Richard D. Turner (Jane), James E. Turner (Patricia) and David R. Turner (Nancy) Beloved Friend: Jessie Rathfelder Grandchildren: Richard D. Turner, Jr. (Amy), Michael S. Turner (Kim), Patrick A. Turner, BethAnn D. Turner, Melissa D. Turner, and Kathryn E. Luebke (Warner). Seven Great-Grandchildren Memorial Service: Monday, October 24th at 7:00pm at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
