Obituary of Clark W. Wooding, Jr.

Clark W. Wooding, Jr., age 89, of Elizabethtown, PA, died on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA., Clark had been a long time resident of Middletown Twp., PA, before moving to Penn Forest Twp., and finally to Elizabethtown, PA. Clark proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII aboard the USS Lake Champlain, where he was a Plank Owner. He had been employed for forty years with United Engineers as a Manager of Reproduction Services until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Wooding had a long history in volunteer fire service. He was a Life Member of the Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Co., a Life Member and Past Chief of the Middletown Township Fire Co., and also a Life Member of Penn Forest Township Fire Co. Clark had been a member of Carbon Lodge F&AM and also Springfield-Hanby Lodge #767 F&AM. He had received his fifty year pin. Mr. Wooding is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris Jean (Patterson) Wooding. Three sons: Bill (Nancy), Bob (Lisa) and Barry Wooding. One daughter Barbara Jean Wooding. Also survived by grandchildren: Tom, Heather, David and Christina. Memorial Services on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA, where friends may call after 9:30 AM. Interment in Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions to: Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 would be appreciated.
